App privacy policy — MySayara

This explains what GlobalShopper LLC (the company behind MySayara) collects when you use the MySayara app, why, and the choices you have. It is written in plain words. The separate privacy notice for the waitlist on our website is not affected by this page.
What we collect
- Your account: your Apple or Google sign-in identity, and your email address if you share it with us.
- Your car details: for example the make, model, year and plate details you enter, and the car photo if you choose one (we shrink it to a small picture on your phone before it is saved with your car).
- Expenses and obligations: the entries you type in, paste or confirm, such as fuel, parking, Salik, service, insurance and registration dates.
- Fields parsed from bank and service messages: amount, merchant, category and time. We never keep the raw text of the message. Text you paste or send from an iPhone Shortcut is read on our server and is not stored. On Android, notifications are read on your phone and only the parsed fields are sent to us, unless you choose to send one message to be read (see below).
- Your data consent record: what you agreed to and when.
- Your reminder settings. Reminders are scheduled by your phone itself, so we do not collect a push token.
- Usage analytics: which screens and buttons are used, measured with PostHog (EU servers). It is used to improve the app.
Why we use it
To show you what your car really costs, to remind you of what is due, and to run and improve MySayara. We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising.
To run the service, the people operating MySayara can see each account's sign-in email and its basic activity: when the account was created, how many cars and expenses it has, which capture routes it uses, and when it was last used. They never see the text of your bank messages, which we do not keep.
Where it is stored
On our servers in Germany (EU), hosted by Render.
Who handles it
- GlobalShopper LLC is responsible for your data.
- Render hosts our servers and database.
- PostHog (EU) provides usage analytics.
- Apple and Google provide the sign-in.
- OpenAI and AssemblyAI (United States) may process your questions or voice and receipt captures, but only when the Ask and voice features become available. We will update this page before then. Only what is needed for the request is sent.
- Anthropic (United States) reads the text of a bank message you paste, send from an iPhone Shortcut, or choose to send from an Android notification, when our own rules cannot read it. Only the message and its sender are sent, with no account details, and the text is not stored by us. Anthropic may keep it for a short time under its own data policy, for example to prevent abuse, and does not use it to train its models.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is open. You can export your data in the app. Delete account in the app permanently deletes your account and all the data linked to it from our servers.
If you cannot use the app, email sales@kenlode.com and we will delete your data for you.
Children
MySayara is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app.
